Rick Mikesell is a fly fishing professional and educator for Trouts Fly Fishing, contributing to a number of publications and videos on warm-water fly fishing, in addition to producing and editing “The Current” podcast.

The Podcast

About Down The Path 

Down the Path is a three-season podcast created, produced and written by Will Rice.  Sound Design and Editing for Season 3 was by Rick Mikesell and co-produced by Jason Rolfe.

Down the Path Season One is the story of Ronald Scheepstra who disappeared while flyfishing near the small village of Xcalak, Mexico on April 11, 2009.   

In Season Two join host Will Rice as he explores the circumstances surrounding the murders of Dr. Gary Swank and his fishing guide, Mario Graniel, on the flats of Ambergris Caye, Belize in the summer of 2019.

In Season Three of Down the Path, Will Rice explores the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of Stanley Bain, his crew of four and three boats after leaving on a fishing trip off of Andros Island in the Bahamas in August of 1995.
